Connecting curious travelers with the authentic heart of Asia since 2007.
We are not just another tour company. We are a team of dreamers, mechanics, and storytellers led by Steve and his wife. Founded in 2007, we are the first to turn vintage Vespas into a gateway for authentic Southeast Asian exploration. We build connections, one ride at a time.
Beyond the sights, into the city's soul. We introduce you to its people, immerse you in its hidden culture, and let you taste its defining flavors. Every ride is a journey for the senses across Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand.
"The Ride of Your Life" is more than a motto - it is our way of living. Our mission is to connect curious travelers with the authentic heart of Asia through meaningful, immersive, and sustainable adventures that stay with you long after the engine stops.
It began when Steve traveled to Vietnam in the late '90s. He found himself drawn to the energy of the streets, the warmth of the people, and the classic scooters everywhere. What started as a hobby restoring old Vespas slowly became something more. When his wife joined him, they decided to share this experience with others.
Today, we operate in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. Our guests have traveled more than 150,000 miles with us. We work with over 100 local artisans and family businesses along the way. These are not stops we added for effect. They are simply the places we have always visited and the people we have come to know.
Safety is a quiet priority. Our Vespas are maintained on a regular schedule. Our guides know the roads and the routes. We carry local insurance in each country, and our team members hold first-aid certification. It is not something we advertise. It is simply how we work.
We have earned a 4.9 out of 5 rating from travelers over the years. That feedback matters to us. But we are just as proud of the miles traveled and the relationships built along the way. We started with a simple idea in 1997, and we continue to do the same thing today: take people on a ride they remember.

We create the journey. They carry it home. Here are the moments riders remember most.
Steve Mueller grew up in Charleston, South Carolina, but left home early to see what else the world had to offer. By the time he reached Hawaii, he had traveled through more countries than most people visit in a lifetime. Yet it was Vietnam that stopped him.
He first arrived in 1997. The energy of the streets, the warmth of the people, the way daily life unfolded in plain sight. It all felt different. He kept coming back. Eventually he stopped leaving. He met Kim Phuong, and Vietnam became home in every sense.
At first Steve restored and exported vintage Vespas. The scooters were plentiful, and there was a market for them abroad. But the more time he spent with them, the more he felt they belonged here. They were part of Vietnam's heritage, not something to be shipped away. He wanted to share the country he loved with others, and the Vespas seemed like the perfect way to do it.
In 2007, they ran their first official tours. Guests hop onto the back of restored Vespas and saw Vietnam the way Steve had come to know it. Not from a bus window, but from the street, with room to stop and talk to people along the way.
Steve credits much of their success to Kim Phuong. Her local knowledge and instincts gave the company its foundation. He brought the vision. She made it real. Together they built something that feels less like a tour company and more like an invitation to see their home the way they do.
Kim Phuong grew up in a Saigon very different from the one visitors see today. Born just after the war ended, she came of age when Vietnam's doors remained closed to the world. Daily life then revolved around family, work, and the quiet rhythms of the local neighborhood.
As a child, she spent her afternoons at the Ben Thanh Market helping at her family's stall. Each day after school, she learned how to select the freshest produce, build relationships with customers, and run a small business with care. Eventually she opened her own stall selling vegetables to the community she grew up in.
That early education in hospitality stayed with her. In 1999, she opened Café Zoom. It began as a place where Steve, Phuong, and their friends could gather, share stories, and enjoy good food. Word spread. Travelers passing through Saigon found their way there. They lingered over coffee, asked for advice, and often returned the next day.
Café Zoom became the natural starting point for the first Vespa tours. Today it remains the operations center for Vespa Adventures in Saigon, still welcoming travelers, still serving good food, still run by the same person who started with a market stall.
Bao grew up in Hue - a poetic city, where the rhythms of daily life unfolded among ancient temples and imperial palaces. That early immersion in Vietnamese culture and history would later shape the way he shares his country with travelers.
He graduated in 1993 with a degree in English Language and Tourism Management. With a deep understanding of both language and the art of hospitality, he entered the tourism industry at a pivotal moment. As Vietnam began opening its doors to the world, Bao was among those leading the way. He worked on the front lines of the country's introduction to international travelers, helping shape how visitors first experienced Vietnam.
His passion for the industry never faded. He later returned to school to earn an MBA with a specialization in Marketing, blending his frontline experience with a strategic understanding of what makes a travel experience memorable.
Today, Bao brings more than two decades of experience to Vespa Adventures. He oversees daily operations with a quiet attention to detail.
Phuong is the heartbeat of the Vespa Adventures team. As Managing Partner, she ensures that everything runs smoothly across all six branches in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. Her energy is contagious, and her ability to connect with people, both guests and colleagues, sets the tone for the entire company.
She first joined Vespa Adventures in 2013. She built the systems that allow the business to grow without losing its personal touch. She designed the standard operating procedures still used today, trained branch teams across three countries, and developed sales strategies that helped the company expand.
Today she focuses on the bigger picture. She keeps operations aligned, supports branch teams, and ensures every location delivers the same quality experience guests have come to expect.
Phuong holds degrees in Business Administration and English, and completed leadership training in Japan. When she is not working, you might find her swimming, running, or traveling to explore new cuisines. She brings the same curiosity to her work, always looking for ways to improve.
But ask anyone on the team what makes Phuong special, and they will not mention her resume. They will talk about her laugh, her energy, and the way she makes people feel supported. She is the reason the team works so well together.
We have spent nearly two decades finding the best routes, the quietest backroads, and the most interesting stops across
Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand.
Now it is your turn.
